Black And White Blooms Blue Linocut

This tulip print is a, “Linocut”, which is a printmaking technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum (sometimes mounted on a wooden block) is used for the relief surface. The artist will first carve the linoleum, then add ink to the carving and press it on a chosen paper. Betsy added color by coming over the print with pastels, to create this wonderful, graphical, and bold tulip design.

This piece has been matted, creating a finished look, and is ready to be placed in a 24″ x 28″ frame.
